Michele is a native of Vibo Marina, Calabria, Italy. As a child Michele spent most of his time with his 10 siblings on the white beaches of Vibo Marina. After graduating from High School he went on to earn his degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Rome, Italy (“La Sapienza”), and his Master of Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering from SUNY at Buffalo, NY in 2000.

Michele moved to Western New York in November 1994. In 1999 he began working at vanderHorst Geotechnical Engineering as a Junior Engineer, under the direction of his district manager, Kevin Tierney. In 2004, Michele joined Tierney Geotechnical Engineering.

Michele resides in Greece, NY with his beautiful wife, Rosalba, and their two adorable children (Giuseppe and Isabella). When he is not at the office he enjoys playing volleyball, golf, running, biking, and/or hiking (in the summer) or cross-country skiing (in the winter). However, you are mostly likely to spot him with his family, enjoying picnics and playing under the sun along the beaches of Lake Ontario.
